Star Butterfly Wand
(Star vs The Forces of Evil)

I could not find many pictures from production but this was a fun project. If I can find more pics I will add them.

I made my Star Butterfly wand from a base of half of a Styrofoam ball and a dowel cut to fit. I added paperclay to the ball, adding to the front so I could create a deeper pit to add the star into later. I sculpted the inside to have little triangle shapes to imitate the rays in on the cartoon. I also sculpted the tiny crown for the top out of paperclay.

I sculpted the shapes for the center star and heart end piece. I cast those pieces in resin and added them to the wand using E-6000.

I custom mixed the color for the wand itself and painted the outside and inner pieces. I cut out the little butterfly and wings out of foam (there is slight embossing on the wings for detailed definition). I attached them with E-6000.
